Based in downtown Los Altos, California, Optimal Synthesis Inc. has been in business since 1992. Researchers in various disciplines such as aerospace/mechanical/electrical/civil engineering, physics, and computer science are currently affiliated with the company. Most of our research staff hold post-graduate degrees from leading institutions in the US, and more than half of them hold doctoral degrees.

We have the combined research experience of over 150 person-years. Our customers include the US Government, major US corporations and research laboratories. We have a reputation for quality, on-time delivery, and low overhead. Our in-house experts are well-recognized in their own research fields. We maintain a network of consultants for rapid solutions of multidisciplinary problems.

Our areas of expertise include:

  • Aerospace and defense applications
  • Air transportation systems
  • Analysis and design of dynamical systems
  • Vehicle guidance, control, and estimation
  • Communications and signal processing
  • Artificial intelligence and robotics
  • Bio-medical systems
  • Application-specific software development

The following is a sample list of software packages which Optimal Synthesis Inc. has developed and delivered to its customers:

  • Generalized National Airspace Traffic Simulation (GNATS™)
